IT consulting

Impartial advice that is feasible and built to last.

Most IT consultants sell something. Licences, hardware, cloud capacity – and the recommendation follows the margin. With us it works the other way round: we earn our money from consulting, project work and operations. We will supply hardware and licences if you want us to, usually as part of a project – but our recommendation does not depend on it. We have no sales targets and no vendor quotas, and we will tell you when the cheaper option is the better one or a project is not worth doing.

What independence means in practice

We are listed as a partner with several manufacturers – but none of those partnerships obliges us to hit sales volumes or favour particular recommendations. We assess proprietary and open-source solutions by the same criteria: does it fit the task, the budget and what your team can actually run? Open source often wins because per-user licence costs disappear and you keep control. Where a proprietary solution serves you better, we say so.

Typical engagements

IT strategy. Where your IT stands, where it should be in three years, and the shortest route there. The result is a prioritised roadmap with effort and sequence, not a slide deck.

Cloud migration. Assessing which applications belong in the cloud and which do not. Planning and guiding the move to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or your own data centre – hybrid architectures included.

System integration. Applications that should talk to each other and do not. Interfaces, data flows, replacing grown island solutions.

Process optimisation. Mapping and analysing your core processes and identifying what can be automated. For a financial advisory firm in Munich we mapped 24 core processes and cut manual effort by 40 per cent.

Vendor selection. Structured evaluation of competing offers against your requirements, with a decision basis you can retrace.

How we work

We start by listening, not by quoting. We look at what exists, talk to the people who work with it, and name the points where it hurts. Only then comes a recommendation – with effort, sequence and what you can take on yourself.

You talk to the same people who then do the work. No sales team promising something a delivery team has to make good on.

Who for

Small and medium-sized companies with 20 to 500 employees, with or without their own IT department. Where IT staff exist, we work alongside them rather than above them.
