IT training

Operating systems, cloud, databases, ERP, IT security, networking – in person or virtually.

The best infrastructure is of little use if nobody can operate it. We train the people who will work with it – on the system you actually run, not on a demonstration environment.

Topics

Operating systems. Linux in the Debian and Red Hat lines, Windows Server, FreeBSD, Synology DSM.

Cloud. AWS and Azure for administrators, hybrid architectures, cost control.

Databases. PostgreSQL, MariaDB and MySQL: operations, backup, query tuning.

ERP. Odoo and ERPNext for users and administrators.

IT security. Fundamentals for all staff through to zero trust and SIEM analysis for the IT team.

Networking. From protocol fundamentals to segmentation, VPN and firewall rule sets with pfSense or OPNsense.

Format

On site with you or virtually. Half-day, full-day or as a series across several weeks – the latter works well when there is practice to be done between sessions.

Group size depends on the topic: up to twenty people for user training, considerably fewer for hands-on administrator training, because everyone should work themselves.

Tailored

The most common case is not a standard course but an induction into the solution we have just introduced. At a booking platform in Berlin we trained 60 staff after the ERP implementation; at an engineering consultancy in Hamburg, building the AWS environment was followed by a DevOps programme covering CI/CD, infrastructure as code and monitoring.
